National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
This is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK with over 100,000 people currently holding this award.
The qualification provides an excellent grounding in managing hazards and risks effectively. Many people take the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a basic step towards a career in health and safety with many going on to study at higher levels. No previous knowledge of health and safety is required.
The NEBOSH National General Certificate covers the main legal requirements for health and safety in the UK, identification and control of workplace hazards, and the practical application of this knowledge. Candidates should note the assessment includes a requirement to write a short report.
The qualification is divided into two units, each of which are assessed separately:
- (GNC1)
- (GNC2)
How is this course delivered?
The course is delivered through an online E-Learning platform which can be completed in your own home at your own pace we recommend a quiet environment in order to concentrate. A WIFI connection with a connectable device for example Laptop or Tablet will be needed to complete the course.
- GNC1 Is an open book examination (OBE) which enables you to sit your NEBOSH assessment on your own, usually in your own home or another safe and suitable location where you can concentrate.
- GNC2 is to be completed within your own workplace. If this is not feasible, please contact our office on 01642 754880 to discuss further options.
Duration
The course must be completed online within twelve months.
