Systems Developer & Systems Support

Salary: £23,500 – £26,000(Dependent on qualifications and experience)

A FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT opportunity exists for a self-motivated graduate to be employed. The first year for the successful candidate will be working on an initial one year strategic project for us at Northern Safety ltd, based in Thornaby, with a view to the development of a long-term role.

The Role: The initial role is to develop an innovative cross platform Accreditation Management System that will support the core business. Once platform is developed you will be responsible for its continuous evolution and configuration. Once completed, employment will be to maintain and develop this system and associated technological support in line with the business and our customers needs.

This is initially supported by a 12 month Growth Associate Project (GAP – See opposite) which has a predetermined project work plan. The successful candidate will be supported continuously by both the team at Sapere (a bespoke software development company) and by Barry Hebbron from Teesside University, who is an Enterprise Fellow with 30 plus years’ experience of software project development and management.

Skills Required: It is essential you have capability to develop a full stack web application preferably within a C# .Net Web Development context, and can demonstrate this with an appropriate recently acquired Honours degree in a Computing related subject.

It is anticipated you can demonstrate an ability to solve problems with software solutions with minimum direct supervision.  It is hoped that you are capable of growing and evolving into a systems management role as the project develops and becoming an essential member of the Northern Safety Ltd team following the initial 12 month project.
