Northern Safety Partners with Every Man Can to Support Men’s Wellbeing
Every Man Can, a non-profit organisation launched in April 2024, is hosting two two-hour wellbeing sessions at Northern Safety Ltd in May 2025.
Showing our support for Mental Health Awareness Week in May, we’ve partnered with Every Man Can to host two free sessions to help support men in the area with their mental health, as well as open the essential conversations around mental health in a non-judgmental and supportive space. We’re excited to have the team join us on the 2nd May.
When are the sessions?
There are two wellbeing sessions being hosted on the 2nd May, these are:
10am – 12pm
1pm – 3pm
Sessions are available for online booking, which allows us to monitor session numbers as well as contact attendees if needed. The sessions will take place inside one of our classrooms within Northern Safety.
What do the Every Man Can sessions help with?
This is a 2-hour interactive session with Richie (Managing Director of Every Man Can) and Amanda (Tutor at Every Man Can), created to help you:
- Understand how your beliefs and values drive any unhelpful behaviour.
- Tune in and find out more about yourself.
- Improve communication skills, understand others, and benefit from mutual energy.
- Follow calming techniques.
They’re designed to help you find what works for you.
Who runs Every Man Can?
Richard Andrew formed Every Man Can CIC in April 2024 after facing some tough challenges throughout his personal life. By making good choices and recognising opportunity, he’s been able to avoid some difficult paths and situations, pushing him to change his mindset and process his trauma. Richie draws on two decades of men’s health expertise with a background within the NHS and local government, and is extremely passionate about helping men change their mindset and understand their feelings and actions.
Richie is also the creator of several other initiatives like Boro Man Can, South Tees Wellbeing Networking, Fire and Ice Community Sauna, and MoMENtum, a coaching business.
Amanda joined Every Man Can to provide a feminine perspective on men’s mental health. Previously working in men’s prisons, Amanda has led vital conversations that provide people with answers to their thought processes, whilst running sessions with compassion and understanding. Amanda looks to provide you with that ‘light bulb’ moment that pushes positive change.
Paired together, they’ve provided men across the Tees Valley with unmatched support, and we’re excited to welcome this to Northern Safety.

The Every Man Can sessions are free of charge to attend and last roughly 2 hours.
Stress Awareness Month
This April is Stress Awareness Month, and we’re calling on all employers to look into what stress is, how it can affect your employees/teams, and what you can do to improve the overall well-being within your business.
Not only does workplace stress negatively impact productivity, but mental health-related issues result in a loss of 18 million workdays annually, costing businesses an estimated £51 billion.
Whilst we’re focusing on delivering high-quality courses throughout April, we felt it was right to invite Every Man Can to our Thornaby-based site in May to provide their services to anyone who feels they might need them.
Raising awareness of mental health, gaining an understanding of being able to support peers and guide them to the right areas of support are key in any workplace.
How can Northern Safety help support employee wellbeing?
At Northern Safety Ltd, we have a number of courses available to help managers and supervisors support their employees with their mental health, and to support them with providing the right training to do this appropriately.
Get 25% off our L3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace course until May 2025 by using code STRESSAWARE at checkout.
