Manual Handling

Manual handling accidents account for more than a third of all accidents reported each year to the enforcing authorities.  It is estimated that in excess of 500,000 people in Great Britain suffer from a musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) mainly affecting the upper limbs or neck that was caused, or made worse, by their current or past work.

The course is intended to give candidates the knowledge and competence to understand how musculoskeletal injuries occur, the consequences of injury and how to adopt the correct manual handling posture to reduce and avoid injury.

This course can be carried out at our training centre in Thornaby or at a site of your choice providing all necessary facilities and equipment are available.

If you would like to enquire about your own bespoke course and require dates and prices, please contact our training team on 01642 754880 or email enquiries@northernsafetyltd.co.uk.
