SAFE WORKING AT HEIGHT

Duration: Half Day (Theory Based)

Who Should Attend?

Any operatives who are required to work at heights including those using ladders, scaffolds, towers MEWP’s etc and require formal training and instruction in the hazards associated with working at height.

Course Aims and Objectives

To instruct and train course members in the safety awareness, hazard identification, control measures and safe working practices associated with working at height.

The course content will include:
  • Legislation relevant to Working at Height
  • Relevant Standards
  • Hierarchy of Controls
  • The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)
  • Suitability of Equipment
  • Introduction to safe systems of work
  • Hazards and Control Measures
  • Falling Materials
  • Fall Arrest Equipment
  • Hoisting Materials
  • Roof Condition and Environment
  • Weather Conditions

Maximum Number of Candidates

The maximum number of candidates for this course is 12.

Venue

This course can be carried out at our training centre in Stockton or at a v enue of your choice providing all
necessary facilities and equipment are av ailable.

Equipment required (when carrying out training on site)

Classroom area with electricity supply and enough tables and chairs to seat all candidates
comfortably and allow our Instructor to set up his training equipment
