Plant Training and Assessment

Northern Safety Ltd can offer plant operators a smooth passage into the CPCS Plant Operators Scheme and assistance with any problems that may be encountered with renewals.
In addition to the above we are also an NPORS accredited training provider and we can provide you with the necessary training as an alternative to other awarding bodies.
The National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) became an accrediting body in 1997 and is recognised by Health & Safety Executive.
NPORS maintains a record of operators training for the Construction, Industrial and Agricultural sectors.
The scheme produces NPORS Operators Cards and Training Certificates and shows the training and assessment testing each operator has undertaken. For the construction industry these cards are valid for 3 or 5 years depending upon the training provider.
Like CPCS, NPORS also require operators to provide evidence of a Health & Safety qualification that has been completed in the last 2 years. This is displayed on the operator card when issued. Examples of recognised safety qualifications are NPORS Safety Awareness Course and the CITB Health and Safety Touch Screen Test. For more information on other recognised qualifications contact NPORS at http://www.npors.com/
