Who Should Attend?
Anyone who operates or intends to operate scissor or boom mobile elevating working platforms
Course Aims
To instruct an operator to prepare and safely operate various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) and to obtain an IPAF MEWP Operators Licence.
Objectives
At the end of the course the operator will:-
- Be aware of the relevant Health and Safety regulations
- Be aware of accident prevention and control
- Be aware of the needs regarding personnel protection
- Be aware of the need to refer to the machine Operating Manual
- Drive the MEWP safely and maneuver the machine as required, to correctly position and carry out the required tasks in a correct and proper manner, inside and outside a building.

Maximum Numbers
Boom only: A maximum of 6 delegates.
Scissor only: A maximum of 6 delegates
Combined: A maximum of 4 delegates.
Venue
The course can be carried out at our Stockton training centre or at a site of your choice. If the course is carried out at your site you will be required to provide the use of a machine(s)
Accreditation
Upon successful completion delegates will be supplied with an IPAF handbook, certificate and PAL card valid for 5 years.
