Fire Training for Site Managers and Supervisors
Duration:
Half Day.
Who Should Attend?
Construction site managers, supervisors and fire marshals/wardens who have responsibility for the management of fire safety risks on construction sites, including the implementation of fire risk assessments/site fire safety plans. The course may also be useful for contracts managers, quantity surveyors, estimators and any other persons with fire safety responsibilities.
Course Aims and Objectives
At the end of the course delegates will have an awareness and understanding of
- The legal requirements with regard to fire safety on construction sites
- The roles and responsibilities of the Designer, Principal Contractor, Responsible Person, Fire Marshals and individuals
- The content of the Fire Safety Plan
- Theory of fire, including common causes of fire and types of fire spread
- General site fire precautions (fire points, fire alarm, fire fighting equipment)
- Site fire precautions (measures to reduce risk and safe working practices)
- Means of escape and evacuation
- Safe use of fire extinguishers
Training Method
This is a classroom based course.
Maximum Number of Candidates
The minimum number of candidates for this course is 5 and the maximum is 12.
Venue
This course can be carried out at our training centre in Stockton or at a venue of your choice providing all necessary facilities and equipment are available.
