Who Should Attend?

All candidates that feel competent using the machine (see course content).

Accreditation

On successful completion, candidates will receive a red CPCS trained operator card.

Content

• CPCS theory test which is carried out on a one to one basis with the CPCS tester. This is
recorded.
• CPCS practical test which can only be carried out once the theory test is passed. This includes
the candidates showing the tester that they can:
o Certify the Crusher is sited appropriately, stable, level and configured for Crushing
o Complete all manufacturers pre-start checks
o Ensure the material is suitable for Crushing and set the crusher for the given specification
o Ensure discharge areas(s) is (are) suitable for receiving processed material
o Agree the work process and signals with others involved in the crushing process
o Convert uncrushed material into processed material
o Operate the crusher until a stockpile is produced that is 75% of the discharge conveyor
height
o During the crushing process, carry out an emergency stop of operations
o Clear all material from Crusher and immediate area
o Carry out shut down and securing procedure

Maximum Numbers

A maximum number of 2 people can be tested at one time.

Venue

The training is carried out on your site, providing the following equipment is available:
• A Mobile or Static Crusher (no less than 10 tonne) in a serviceable and condition which conforms
with current legislation with the operator’s manual
• Ground clear of hazards able to accommodate the :
o Crusher
o Loading method
o Unprocessed material
o Processed material
• Sufficient material fit for processing
• Method of loading material into the Crusher
• Assistance for loading
• Harness and other specific PPE
