Demolition Operatives Safety Awareness Refresher

Who Should Attend?

This course is intended for experienced Demolition Operatives who have attended a Demolition Operative Safety Awareness Course within the last three years. This course will deliver updated information on Health and Safety issues that will affect the work activities of the Demolition Operative.

Course Aims and Objectives

To keep site personnel up to date with health and safety legislation. This half day course can be used as preparation for the CITB health and safety test or as a refresher for staff who have attended a course before recent legislative changes were made.

Content

  • Individuals responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Specific demolition hazards
  • How demolition hazards are controlled
  • How everyone on site can help achieve better practical standards of safety on site
  • Updates on new Safe Working Practices
  • Understanding Method Statements and Risk Assessments

Training Method

Tutorials, example test questions, continuous assessment and knowledge test.

Maximum Number of Candidates

The maximum number of candidates for this course is 12.

Venue

This course can be carried out at our training centre in Stockton or at a venue of your choice providing all necessary facilities and equipment are available.

Equipment Required (when carrying out training on site)

Classroom area with electricity supply and enough tables and chairs to seat all candidates comfortably and allow our Instructor to set up his training equipment.

CITB Grant Aid

CITB grant aid is available for this course at £17.50 per person per day.
