Who Should Attend?
This course is appropriate for Project Managers, Site Managers and Supervisors as well as Proprietors of smaller companies. Client based personnel may also benefit from attending this course.
Course Aims and Objectives
This industry recognised course is ideal for companies which need to meet the ever increasing demand for evidence of Health & Safety compliance. The course aims to give candidates an understanding of their responsibilities and accountability for site safety, health & welfare and current health & safety legislation including risk assessment.
Content
The course covers the Health & Safety at Work Act and the regulations relevant to the construction industry. It includes site set up, Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM), risk assessments / method statements, scaffolding, electricity, excavations, demolition and confined spaces, as well as recent changes in accepted working practices.
For those who successfully complete the course, a nationally recognised CITB certificate is awarded.
Training Method
Tutorials, individual and group assessed exercises, continuous assessment and end of course examination.
CITB Grant Aid
CITB grant aid is available for this course on successful completion of the course.
Maximum Number of Candidates
The maximum number of candidates for this course is 12.
Venue
We have various dates available at Stockton and Harrogate. This course can also be carried out at a venue of your choice providing that all relevant facilities are available.
Equipment required (when carrying out training on site)
Classroom area with electricity supply and enough tables and chairs to seat all candidates comfortably and allow our Instructor to set up his training equipment
