Who Should Attend?

This course is for operatives who are experienced in the asbestos industry and have had training
as an Operative and wish to progress, the course combines classroom based theory and hands
on practical training.

Course Aims and Objectives

To provide candidates with the skills to safely remove asbestos together with knowledge of the
relevant legislation applicable.

· The Health Hazards of Asbestos including the Health Risks to Employees
· Health Hazards of Asbestos
· Legislation and Fault finding
· Site Set up & Dismantling Introduction
· Controlled Stripping Techniques
· PPE & RPE, Plant & equipment use & maintenance checks
· Enclosure & Bag lock.
· Decontamination Unit & Transit Procedures
· Site Clearance & Air Testing, Site Inspection & Record Keeping
· Waste Management Legislation & Disposal
· Emergency Procedures, Non Asbestos Hazards
· Roles and Responsibilities, RA & Pow
· Setup, maintenance & checks of controlled stripping techniques & equipment injection, shadow  vacuuming.
