ASBESTOS OPERATIVE REFRESHER

Who Should Attend?

This course is for operatives who are due there annual refresher, the course combines classroom
based theory and hands on practical training.

Course Aims and Objectives

To provide candidates with the skills to safely remove asbestos together with knowledge of the
relevant legislation applicable.

Content

· Asbestos Types use’s and risks of ACM’s and Health Hazards.
· Legislation
· Site Setup and Dismantling
· Controlled Stripping Techniques
· PPE and RPE
· Decontamaination and Transit Procedures (Written Assessment)
· Site Clearance, Air Testing and Waste Management, legislation
· Emergency Procedures and Non Asbestos Hazards
· Plant and Equipment, Fault Finding, Decontamination Procedures
· use of controlled stripping techniques. Attachment of DCU to enclosure.
