Who Should Attend?

The course is suitable for Asbestos Removal Supervisors and Managers, Safety Representatives, Project
Managers etc. who will be overseeing the safe management of asbestos removal projects.

Course Aims and Objectives

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) are insisting that company managers must be able to demonstrate
continuing competency and have received recent asbestos training before licence renewal will be
considered.

The course aims to give candidates an understanding of the new asbestos regulations and their
responsibilities for managing asbestos.

Based on the delegate’s Training Needs Analysis Form, we will give training in the following areas

· Site Set Up, Maintenance and Dismantling
· Controlled Stripping Techniques
· Respiratory Protective Equipment
· Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing
· Transit Procedures and Decontamination
· Cleaning and Clearance Air Testing
· Plant and Equipment (using demonstration of equipment)
· Waste Management and Disposal
· Emergency Procedures
· Non-Asbestos Hazards
· Fault Finding
· Roles and Responsibilities
· Site Inspections and Record-Keeping
· Management Systems and Monitoring
· RAs and POWs
· Information, Instruction and Training

Venue

This training can be carried out either at our Training Centre in Stockton.

Equipment required (when carrying out training on site)

Classroom area with electricity supply and enough tables and chairs to seat all candidates comfortably and allow our Instructor to set up his training equipment.
